Can I just say.....dieting stinks!!!

I hate dieting! I am sooo hungry right now (and I really shouldn't be). UGH!
 
I hear you. Although, I just ate a few cookies so you're doing better than I am. Saw your WW stats - Excellent job. I'm trying to drop 15-20 more pounds and having a heck of a time. I swear, with three small kids, I eat to get away from it all. Very bad.

Hang in there for tonight. Almost bed time!
 
I'm there with you! I totally wanted a hot chocolate tonight, but persuaded myself to have herb tea instead in order to save the calories.

Honestly, if you're truly hungry, go eat a healthy snack like some vegetables or a piece of fruit. If you let your body get hungry, you'll send it into "starvation mode" and it'll actually be harder to lose the weight. So feel free to go eat something good for you! I find it helps if I decide what I'm going to eat BEFORE I go in the kitchen. If I just go in the kitchen looking to eat, I'm more likely to grab something not-so-healthy.

It looks like you're doing great so far!!!!!! :flower:
 
Dont let yourself get really hungry.
You need to eat when you are hungry,just eat healthy.
I eat about 4 or 5 times a day,but they are small meals and snacks.
I also keep hard candy around for when I just need a taste of something sweet.
So go get you something healthy to eat. :)

Thanks, but they are no longer accurate...I should really change them. I lost a total of 62 pounds and have gained back 19 pounds in the last year. It has been a rough year and I ate a lot for comfort (moved from Italy to US, DH retired from military, father got sick and passed away, bought first house and moved again, then the holidays). I know....excuses, excuses, that is all they are. But I started back on my healthy eating at the beginning of the week and have lost 2-1/2 pounds this week, so I only have 16-1/2 more to go to get back to my siggie stats!

And you are right, it is almost bed time, so I need to hang in there!
 
can you have some airpopped popcorn. It's filling and you can have a decent amount.
 
My latest trick...cornflakes. Or Cheerios. These are actually filling. And with skim milk there's no fat and maybe 140 calories. I've been having this for breakfast and lunch everyday. That's the only thing diety I've done this week and I've lost 4 pounds!
 
I feel the same way! I started a diet,actually I would rather call it "a change in eating habits" it will be one week on Monday. I'm so hungry and its too late to eat! When this happens at night I force myself to go to sleep, this way I wont think about my hunger!

Eat when you are hungry. I probably eat 6 times a day. Keep your mouth occupied, chew gum, or chew ice (bad) I chew 4 lbs of ice a day. The last thing you want to do is starve yourself and throw off your metabolism. I got on a scale today and it said I was 109 when I left for my cruise I was 114, I could've sworn I would gain weight, I think I did and lost it all back plus some with all the running around I've been doing lately.

Eat healthy, in moderation, and don't forget the most important meal of the day!

I am feeling the same way right about now. I've been following my new eating habits since Monday and I think I'm hitting a wall today. I've lost three pounds since Monday, so I guess its working. I went out and got a nice Starbuck's coffee (just coffee, no sugar etc) and bought a book at Barnes and Noble today. That helped. The apple I ate a little while ago as an evening snack was tasty too.
 
I just got off that stupid Tony Gazelle thing. I told myself if I ate pizza tonight I would work out on that machine for an hour.
Well it has been 50 mins and I will do another 10 before bedtime.
I weigh the same now ans the day I walked into the hospital to deliver my DD. Now, tell me that isn't pathetic.
Good news is I have not let it go sa far that I have to shop at speciality shops (although I probably could).
I am now a 14 and want to get down to a 10. Any less looks funny on me because I have fairly large bones.
Lots of company w/ ya so hang in there!!!
 
Hi fellow dieters!!! Another WW member here! I lost 40 lbs last year, but stopped going and this holiday season was brutal....picked up a few! Need to start back on it next week so I stocked up on my fruit and veggies today. I hate dieting and really needed a little break...now its back to business. I guess I'll be grouchy next week so my co-workers better watch out! Need to lose 20 before May 22! Billy Blanks needs to kick my butt back into gear!
 
I hear ya. I started WW on Monday and have been doing okay.

Friday day and night were hard. Then I just got home from my DM and we had our polyanna party with my side of the family. Lots of food I had a salad and a slice of pizza. I wanted to eat every dip and appetizer on the table.

She asked my how it is going and I told her "Dieting SUCKS". But I have to do it. I am glad I am not feeling alone on this one.
 
Another one here who hates dieting!Last year I did WW and got to my goal weight.Well since July I have gained it all plus 5 lbs more.I think I just need to go to bed...
 
Take some comfort knowing I have eaten enough junk food for you today as well. Gee, I have got to get out of this funk or I will gain too much weight!
 
If I can give unasked for advice...don't "diet". Count your calories of what your normally eat, then minus 500. Either through not eating, or exercise. Then eat normally/healthy, but allow yourself some treats. Don't cut anything out that you love!!! This will only make you not last! Just remember moderation. You will lose 1 to 2 pounds a week, which is the healthy way to do it. It's actually quite easy that way. You'd be surprised what you can cut out to lose those calories. :goodvibes
Walking is great!! If you walk up to an hour a day total, you burn a good amount of calories.

You should not have to give up food that you like when losing weight. It will work, trust me. And it will give to eating like that for a lifestyle, not just a quick fix. :) If you diet, then lose the weight you want, you will then go back to eating the stuff you missed. Not good. You need to always be able to eat things you like, just in moderation. It really just changes the way you eat, not restricts.
