Can I get our room card in the morning - long before check in?

During our Universal visit we will be arriving first thing in the morning. We have reservations at RPR but check in is not until 4:00 p.m. However, we plan on going to the parks in the morning when we arrive. Though we probably cannot check in do the resorts give room cards in the morning to use at the parks for the express access?

Yes they do. We checked into HRH last year at 8.00am!! You can leave your luggage, grab a room key and go straight to the parks. It's fantastic

Is the reverse also true?
After you checked out, can the bell desk hold onto your bags while you visit the park after 1100am? Can you still use your room key for FOTL privileges?

Yes, that's correct. It gives you like 2 days extra at the parks

Yes. Keep you room key and use it all day the day you check out. You just won't have charging privileges on it any longer.

We check in between 6 and 8 a.m. and more than once they have had a room ready which feels like getting a free day!
