Can I get a replacement candy apple?

Caramel apples are supposed to be gooey. Candy apples should be more crunchy than gooey.

That's what I expect from Candy apples- much more crunchy than pull-your-fillings-out goooey.

As to those who make the snide comments about asking the question, was it really necessary? Person had a question and was curious to the answer.

Nope. I thought we were making "candy apples" at daycare once expecting caramel candy. They made some concoction with red hots candies which "set" crunchy. I didn't care for it at all.
