Can I eat at Le Cellier w/o an ADR

I can't get an ADR for Le Celier for lunch or dinner at ANY time for 2 people from 9/17-9/26.
The person I spoke with at 407-WDW-DINE said that none of the tables were deignated for walk-in customers. The only way to get a table is to keep calling or check in at the restaurant to see if there were any cancellations.

What are my chances of getting a table for 2 if I arrive at Le Cellier at openning time? Would lunch or dinner be easier? I'm willing to wait up to 1.5 hours. Has anyone done a walk in at Le Cellier before?

Thanks :)

btw - I only booked my trip 3 days ago, otherwise, I would have made ADR's a loooooong time ago!

I'd say it's very unlikely. If they're completely booked up, they won't even let you wait for a table (I've tried). They'll just turn you away.

I would suggest calling the morning of the day you'd like to dine there. If you're willing to take any available seating, lunch or dinner, you might be able to snag a table that's been freed up by a cancellation.

They were not accepting any walkups for dinner during my vacation in May. They were simply saying they were totally booked through August and part way through September already (thus no walk ups).

So I would not put my money on it for dinner.

Sheesh, I've waited over an hour for my table at Le Cellier and that was with an ADR!

Considering when you want to eat there, I would say there is zero chance of being able to walk up and eat, regardless of how long you are willing to wait. We always seem to eat at Le Cellier when it is opening (4 I think) and I distinctly remember them turning people away last year when we were waiting for our table (in September). Sorry, but I really wouldn't count on eating there! Your best bet is to call every single day and try to pick something up that someone has cancelled.

P.S. Also have them look for tables of 3 or 4 when you are doing your daily calls (but I never said that).

Not usually. That is typically one of the ADR's you need to make ASAP. It is worth a try. enjoy

Probably zero to none.

Also, Le Cellier has VERY few tables for 2. Those go the fastest.

I know that you will probably be able to get a seat if you eat there for lunch time. I believe we got there early one year and got seated right away.

I have been successful 1 out of 3 times to eat lunch at Le Cellier without an ADR. The very first time I ate there was as a walk up. That was in June of 05. I tried 2 other times in early December of 05 and 06 and was turned away. I know now that if I really want to eat there, an ADR is a must. I have mine for next week!

We were there Memorial Day weekend and had ADR's. We got there at 11 when they were opening up and had a gentleman come in to see about getting a table. He didn't have an ADR and was told that there was no availability so he and his family left.

Anything is possible but this is one of those restaurants that if you want to eat there you, especially during a busy time, you need to have an ADR.

I have been turned away from Le Cellier forever! We finally scored a dinner reservation but I had to call at the 180 + 10 day mark and rearrange my other dining plans to get it. We did lunch there in Feb..called less than a week in advance and dinner was sold out.

Both times we went we saw a ton of people turned away....the CM's tell people they are booked for 6 to 8 months in advance.

Thanks for the good advice, everyone! I think I'll try for lunch since I plan to be near Canada at 11am anyway.

Last year, we made an ADR for Le Cellier about 1 month in advance (for lunch) and had no problem at all! This was during free dining and the restaurant was nearly empty at openning.

Does anyone know if Le Cellier can prepare the food in take-out containers?

I've heard that Le Cellier will occasionally let folks order soup as a take-out item, but not entire meals. None of the WDW TS restaurants are really set up to offer take-out.
