Can I do this?

Next month, my mom, sister, DD (19 months) and I are headed to DW. We are obviously going to take the stroller and diaper bag into the parks with us. I am really hoping though, to be able to ditch the fanny pack/backpack. I am borrowing a camera that will fit into my pocket and I will get a small wallet to hold my KTTW, a credit card and a little cash. If I throw a small box of raisins and a back up paci into my pocket, can I leave everything else with the stoller or back at the room? I really forget what I used to pack in the fanny pack.

I would recommend you bring a backpack. It will be alot easier than trying to load onto the buses and have items falling out or you trying to hold everything so they don't fall out. My husband likes to bring a fannie pack, he always has and always will. But you can place everything in the backpack and it won't be heavy at all. We went this past October and used a backpack and it was light enough for me (4 months pregnant) to carry when it wasn't in the stroller. We had a change of clothes for two kids, swimsuits for two kids, 5 diapers, 2 swim diapers, a bag of wipes, and snacks for 7 people packed in ours and it was very light. You can place the backpack in your stroller and take it out only when needed.

I like to pack light too... last year I just had my room key in my pocket, and in the stroller kept a walmart bag with diaps/wipes/water bottles and some snack bars.

I did carry a very small backpack that I kept the camera, kids sunglasses, and possibly a jacket in.

Last time we went my DD was almost 2. What we did was have 1 "just in case" bag with things like diapers, wipes, snacks, cups, etc.
Then I had a small bag I had hooked onto the stroller that was my "grab and go" bag for rides. It was a small one strapped backpack that I had my wallet, camera, maps, and keys. i also had "meltdown prevention" lollipops in case a ride line was too long! LOL.

It was easy to grab a small bag when I needed to go in aline while leaving my bigger one in the stroller. I did not have to worry about pockets being too full and stuff falling out while on the rides or walking around.
