Can I do this?

We have ressies at BWV for May 11-17. Initially, I reserved a studio. My son and his girlfriend are now coming so we wanted a 1 bedroom and this is what I had to do:

1 bedroom for Sat, May 11
move to a studio for Sun, May 12
move back to a 1 bedroom for Mon-Thur, May 13-16 and
move back to a studio for the last night.

We are waited listed for the two nights that the 1 bedroom wasn't available. I wanted to make a cash ressie for Sun, May 12 so that we don't have to move. I don't mind moving the last night if a 1 bedroom doesn't become available.

Long story short if I make a cash ressie for Sun, May 12, will I still be wait listed for that night so I could use my points instead or is it automatically cancelled when I make a cash ressie?

You have tell MS to take you off the wait list. Just because you are making a cash reservations they won't know that you still don't need the room. But I would definitely tell MS not to cancel your wait list.
