Hello all so my question has to do with transferring points between two members if possible. Here is my situation. We are taking a big family trip next sept and will need a GV plus a studio and we hope to stay at the BWV. I however own at AKL and SSR. What im trying to accomplish is, is it possible to trade/transfer with another member my points for their points who has owns at BWV so that i can get the 11month window advantage. Now i know its only i believe one transfer in/out if im not mistaken. So in my situation i have bought at AKL and then added on at AKL and then did a second addon at SSR. They are all under the same member number not sure if that makes a difference. Also can you transfer banked/borrowed points? Any help or expierence would be appreciated.

Disney doesn't want you transferring points to get an 11 month advantage.

You can only transfer in or out per UY, but not both.

You can not transfer banked or borrowed points but you can bank transferred points after they are transferred.

Probably the best way to accomplish this would be to find a BWV owner to rent/transfer from and rent your points out to pay for it.

as i said before in a recent thread: there is no scenario where you can use non-home-resort pts to book another resort at 11 months out. your AKV/SSR pts can never be used at another resort at 11 months out. (at 11 months out, your AKV contracts and your SSR contract are separate - they can only be combined at 7 months out.)

if you need 700 pts to book a GV and studio at BWV at 11 months out, you need 700 BWV pts.

you can only do one transfer per UY so you would need all 700 pts in no more than 2 transactions.

(banked/borrowed pts cannot be transferred but you can get a transfer of BWV pts in the prior UY and bank them forward.)

I see several issues here. First is getting enough points together, this is a big chunk for the GV at BWV with almost 700 for a week in that configuration. Then there's the 11 month window because with the few GV at BWV, even being on the computer when the villas go on line for that day would be hit or miss. If you have transferred points you'd have to call and the villas would likely be gone by then. Just too many obstacles and variables to make it work IMO. You might consider two 2BR units or a 2 BR plus 2 studios depending on your group makeup. That way it's less points, easier to book and gives you more options including cancelation options if needed.
