I can't stress enough to be proactive right now. I tried to make contact yesterday via email (the method the broker said she prefers right now). I didn't hear anything back, so, I sent another email this morning.

I received a phone call just now. The seller had nit even received the email with the contract yet, some kind of issue with the email.) anyway, the seller had contacted them, thank goodness! They were re-emailing the contract, and then the seller is going to fax back immediately.

I was told I would be emailed once the contract is sent to ROFR.

We shall see......

I know we should be patient, but, honestly, being politely PROACTIVE is so important!

This is the main reason I decided to go direct with DVD. The money savings wasn't as important as making sure things went smoothly.

The contract has been sent to ROFR!!!!!!

I am so happy!
The stress just left my body when I received the email update! Now it is up to the Disney powers that be.

I just read this entire thread and was hoping to read that you had some good news.

You wouldn't think what is pretty much a simple transaction should be so difficult, would you? But it seems that there's always something. Some of the buyers and sellers can make it as complicated as selling or purchasing a home.

We're in the process of selling one contract and buying another. We haven't had any problems with our broker, but we did have one buyer who couldn't get financing. We did get another offer that went to ROFR 3 weeks ago. I've spent the last week going back and forth about the contract we were going to purchase, and as we were ready to drop off the check at the broker, we found out that the owners decided after listing to book a vacation and didn't want to close until November. We wound up making an offer on another contract and went to ROFR on that one today.

It's always something, but I'm glad things worked out for you. But trust me, waiting for ROFR is a pain. LOL
