Can I check 2 pieces of luggage?

Depends on the size of the carry on, if it is larger than their carry on allowance, you will have to check all three pieces. Check on their website as to what is allowed and how many are allowed.

Generally you can check two pieces and carry on one, orr carry on two and check one. But with the new rules is basically check two and carry on one. As long as they meet size/weight limits you won't have a problem checking the two pieces.

But it sounds like you are really overpacking if you need two checked bags plus a carry on that you mentioned in the previous post (a 21" roll-on) and a backpack. My bet is that you can streamline that donw to about half. Leave the hairdryer at home, all WDW resort hotels have them. Color coordinate so you can mix and match all clothes.

I have a problem in which I always overpack. I guess it is just a fear that I'll forget something. You should see me walking through the airport with 3 wheeled pieces of luggage (pulling two in one hand, one in the other). I guess I could *try* to get the luggage count down. They might appreciate that, huh?

Ducklite, please drop by and instruct my spouse. Whenever we take a trip suitcases become like rabbits; they start as two and then multiply exponentionally as the day approaches. I hate to turn the lights off at night in the room the suitcases are in because I know what they will be up to if I do. There are just so many things that suddenly become absolutely necessary for a trip to Orlando. For example, you just never know when you are going to need a winter coat in Orlando in June. When the trip day finally arrives, the army of suitcases are packed to the gills--and the house is empty. I always feel like that scene in the Titanic where the family shows up with a truckload of suitcases and personal belongings. I try my best to negotiate a limit but everytime we seem to reach an agreement -- like she is limited to four -- she assumes that such an agreement is just the starting point for further negotiations. My problem is now multiplied because my teen DD has inherited the same gene.

You are not alone!!! Our family of 4 checks 5 suitcases (decent size), and we have 1 carry on each! Oh, did I mention that I have 2 teenaged DD's? That is part of the problem. Other thing is that I leave one or two suitcases roomy so that I can fit in all our souvenirs to bring home!!!:D
