Can I change a ressie made with 40%

I know this has probably been asked but what is the likelihood of a change to my ressie - I'm considering changing it to the Tues to Sat Oct 2-6th instead of what I have now booked Wed the 3rd to Sun the 7th. So it is only by one day, I'm considering it because of the what the crowds might be like over columbus day weekend. (didnt realize it when I booked!) Do you think I will be able to keep my 40% discount?

Call and ask. This should be no problem... IF availability for those dates on the discount still exists and your check-in date still falls with in the acceptable dates for the promotion. I'm assuming it does, I don't remember the dates right off.

If availability is the issue.. you'll just have to keep trying back.

I have called and tried to add a day to the beginning of my vacation in Oct and the CM said - oh you have the ZFZ code we are not allowed to do any changes for that code.

I thought this was strange.

Was this the code that just ended on the 14th-perhaps that is why you can no longer make changes

If you are past your booking date (March15th for the 40% offer), the CM may tell you no.. but frequently pushing them to contact Guest Services about the issue .. will get you someplace.

We have had numerous posters who were able to change their 40% off reservations dramatically.. changing dates, in some cases even changing resorts by speaking to Guest Services thru CRO.

Several had to be persistent to be put thru .. but they achieved success.

Trekker - this happened while you were gone - so you might wanna try it yourself.

Of course I looked for the thread about this.. but I couldn't find it right off.

YES, just a few hours ago they said they would switch me from akl to wl if i wannted to because of the construction...but in the end i stayed at akl because my parents were going to be at as sports and it is next door...

Just a quick update and thanks to Canadian Guy!!! I phoned CRO and they of course were unable to change my dates, I told him what I'd heard that perhaps Guest relations could help me and he said sure and put me on hold - well no problem done!! So I guess asking for guest relations is the way to go, thanks for the good advice from here I will hopefully be able to successfully avoid that Columbus day crowds! Thanks again.

I have a room and was able to book a room for my parents. Now I have friends begging me for a room...is there a chance? Would I have to do grand gatherings then? Thanks.

Since canadian guy probably feels like a broken record - call and ask and when they say no ask to speak with guest realations. Even if they say no you tried.

Now back to me...
Since each room is it's own reservation, this would be attempting a new reservation and probably wouldn't be allowed even by guest relations. But there is never any harm in calling and trying.
