Since I can't book a package for 2007 but want to save on the ticket price...can I buy a 10 day park hopper ticket now and not use it until 2007. I'm thinking that since I won't have used any days until 2007 that I wouldn't need the non expiring option. I looked everywhere for this answer but couldn't find one.

This shouldn't be a problem. The expiration on the tickets only kicks in once you use the tix. So, yes, you could hang onto them, unused, until the cow comes home. Use them once, though, and you have only 14 days to use up all your admissions.

Thanks...you know after I thought about it I would be tying up almost $1,000 for all of us compared to $400 for a deposit for 2 packages. So, maybe it's worth waiting for the 2007 package prices to come out and just pay the price increase. Might be worth the interest I'd get for 2 years on $1000. :dog2:

It's good to know though that I could hold tickets if I don't use them.

This is one of the best money saving strategies for going to WDW! We have done this many times in the past. It is appropriate if you do not intend to buy "the works" meaning an all-inclusive package. We usually book room only and buy a ticket for several days longer than we intend to use on the next trip saving the extra days for another trip. Ticket price increases are a given and a way to beat them so to speak is to buy the tickets ahead of time plus this also spreads the cost out a bit at least for us.

That's not the deal it use to be. You now have to add the "no expiration" to the ticket.

klmall i do it the same way and stay at the Grosvenor. I just bought enough for almost 3 trips and we always get great rates right across the street from downtown! I thinks it better than the value resorts way out from everything and more transportation options
