Can I borrow points to transfer???

Anyone have any insite on this.

I own 150OKW and 120SSR points, I have already used ALL of my 2006 OKW points. My 2007 points become available for ressies made after 3/1/06 (March use year) so, can I transfer my 2007 OKW points to someone now?? Its a friend who is looking for a large ressie at the end of 2007 and wants to book in 11mos out but does not have enough OKW points to do it.

I think so because his reservation is for the end of 2007.

not really sure you probably need to call MS and see what they say.

If it were for now or 2006 no - but for 2007 I think you can????

You can only borrow points when actually making a reservation. Reservations for late 2007 can't be made until 11 months prior - or late December,2006/early 2007 - so there is a full year before the reservation may be made.

If your friend still needs extra points in a year in order to make the reservation, you can have your 2007 points transferred into his account. You could certainly transfer 2006 Use Year points into his 2006 Use Year right now, but it's unlikely you can transfer points 2 Use Years ahead. .

In a year, you should have no problem helping your friend, but a call to MS to verify the actual policy is the best way to get the answer to your question.

I transfered my full allottment of Feb. 2006 points to another member over 3 months ago. MS had no problem doing this.
