No. Your March 2015 trip will fall in your 2014 Use Year (12/1/14 to 11/30/15.). You can borrow from your 2015 UY for that trip, but not 2016.

December is a tough Use Year to wrap our heads around since all but one month (December) falls in the next calendar year from the Use Year date.

For another 19 days you are still in your 2013 Use Year (and those with December Use Years are the only ones in that situation now as all other 2013 Use Years have already expired).

If you wanted to make a reservation that will fall still in your 2013 Use Year you could use points banked from 2012, current from 2013 and borrowed from 2014. Members may borrow from the use year that follows the date of the travel dates you want.

For a trip in March, 2015 (which falls in your 2014 Use Year), you can use points banked from your 2013 Use Year, current from your 2014 Use Year or borrowed from your 2015 Use Year.

Points from your December 2015 Use Year may be borrowed for travel between 12/1/14 and 11/30/15.

Points from your December 2016 Use Year may be borrowed for travel between 12/1/15 and 11/30/16.

I hope I don't regret the Dec UY as we travel sept- April (Sept may have been a better UY) anyhow, we're excited and are keeping our fingers crossed to pass ROFR and book our first trip in Sept/Oct!

That being said, if all goes well, what are the chances of getting any reservations for the end of April/ first of may 2015 Fat chance or may we just get lucky?

That's a beautiful summary. We have the same exact contract (160 pts at AKV with Dec UY). The way I've been keeping my head around it is to just think of it as the year +1 as when you can use it. (December being the exception.)

In other words, your 2016 UY points are for 2017, can be banked to 2018, or borrowed in 2016. You can't use them for a 2015 trip (unless it was December, 2015).

The same thought occurred to me when I saw that post. Hopefully the previous owner banked those points for you. Otherwise they will already be expired by the time you get the contract.
