We are planning a trip with 2 adults and 4 kids (2 of the kids are teens). I am thinking the most economical way to go would be to book 1 room with 1 adult and the two younger kids using the kids play free deal and then book another room with 1 adult and the two teens using a room discount code. Is this okay to do? I'm not trying to get one over...I just want to be able to afford to go. We'll also be getting the dining plan and tickets included..but that wouldn't matter would it? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Yes you can. We booked one room for the Kids Stay and Play Free and 1 room for the room only discount. There are 6 of us going 4 adults and 2 children, and that is how we saved the most.
