Can I book ADR BEFORE booking Jan/Feb package?

I am patiently waiting for the 2011 rates to appear online so I can book our Jan into Feb 2011 vacation package. I also really want to try to get a great deal like they had last year (4/3)... but if I am remembering correctly, those weren't even offered until the end of Sept!

However, now that they are back to the 180 days ADR, I am concerned about booking our favorites without having our package booked!! We want to arrive on Jan 30th so that 180 day window is quickly approaching!!! Without our deluxe dining package booked, I assume we will have to pay in advance for CRT and other favs!?

We typically go in Nov each year so I have never had a problem with this new year booking/rates issue!!!

Any advice?!?

You'll be able to book just fine without a package reserved.

You will, however, have to book at 180 days before date of dining* as well as pay up front for any pre-paid reservations (e.g. CRT). Otherwise, you'll be fine .

*Note: Currently it is 190 days from date of dining for everyone due to a glitch in the online system. Whether this will be fixed/changed or not before it's your date to make reservations is unknown. Keep your eyes on the thread here on the reservations board.

I did pick up on the 190 days.... but while playing with the online reservation system I discovered that if you do not have a Disney Resort booking already I still have to stick to 180 days. When I selected 180 days or less from now it let me go into booking options. When I selected dates 181-190 days from today, it gave me an alert message that if I am a Disney Resort guest with a booking I can log in to my account and am then allowed to book 190 days in advance. Otherwise, I must select a date within the 180 days.... :-( So if I don't have my package booked at 190 days I cannot take advantage of that little bonus! Bummer!

Actually, yes you can .

At least as of recently, you can enter any number into that resort confirmation field, enter today's date as date of check in, and the additional days magically are opened up. Of course, this could be fixed at any time and all of that disclaimer stuff .

I've been super busy with work to keep up my testing and summarizing (3rd week in a row of 12hr days plus Saturdays ), but someone posted this morning that they were still able to get around it in this manner.
