And what is the best way to get into this business?

I worked at a paint company for 20 years, and last May was downsized. Due to DH's income, I can look into doing a job that I would really enjoy and not worry so much about the income.

I am concerned about the travel industry, because I think it is so easy and fun to do it on your own. I wonder if there is any future in it?

Is it best to take classes to get into this field, or just apply?

Carlson Travel has a class that starts tomorrow that they said I could sit in on for a couple of days- the cost is about $2K, which I can afford if it will be worth it in the end. I can also take classes at our local technical college(not sure of the cost on that).

Anyone with expereince that can help me? What kind of jobs are out there and how hard is it to get one if you don't have expereince?

Thanks
