I'm not sure what brought that on, as I don't really see any references to specific age groups, but whatever. Is the OP a teenager?SoccerDogWithEars said:As a teenager, I do have to somewhat defend my generation.
First off, since most of y'all are talking about "narrowing the broad brush", I must say the same to you. Not all teenagers watch Family Guy, MTV, or listen to Stern. I am a 100% band geek, and my favorite channel is Disney (what else?). It's not ALL teenagers that watch that stuff. We have every right to be or own individuals.
Also, keep in mind that we are our own generation. We like our stuff, and you liked yours at our age. I'm sure your parents might have been shocked at some of the stuff you watched/listened to. Yes, I agree that society has in general gotten to be a little more riskay (sp?) about these things, but remember that a few years ago it was considered shocking to have two people in bed with each other on tv.
My references were more toward liberal/conservative and political party.
I am well aware that what teeneagers like isn't going to be anywhere near what I like, LOL...
This post makes me feel so old!
I remember saying the same thing to my parents at your age!
