Can I add points at BCV?

Many time looker...first time writer...I have 150 points at BCV (August use year). A couple of questions:
1. Can I buy more points (at BCV) to add to the 150?
2. If I CAN add more points, will it be for 40 years or just the remainder of my original contract?
3. Will they be in the same 'use' year?
4. Is this the best option?

You may be able to add-on a few points at the BCV.
They have to be in your use year or you can buy a whole new contract 150 points with a new use year. All points except those from SSR end in 2042.

BCV is considered "sold out," but you can call your guide and get put on the waitlist for an add-on. We bought an add-on about 2 months ago...

I wondering, what are the increments of add on points at BCV? Is there a minimum? We own at OKW and have never really considered add ons until recently.

Welcome to the Dis Boards! Good luck if you decide to join the waitlist for BCV. Some folks have been lucky and only waited a few days. For others it can be months. If you are in a hurry, you can try to buy a resale from another DVC owner. Choose "DVC Resales" from the top of this page and you can see one of the places where resale contracts are available. If you do a search on this board with "DVC resale" or "DVC add-on" you should come up with many posts about others who are buying resale contracts. It is less hassle to buy directly from Disney, but if you can't wait, you can sometimes get good deals by resale. Also, you don't HAVE to buy your current use year if you buy resale (though it makes keeping track of your points more complicated). We are on the waitlist for BWV, but I am keeping my eyes open for a resale in the meantime.
One other comment: don't be too conservative in the number you add-on. We just added 100 in May and already we're looking for more. Wish we would have done 200 in May!!

BCv add on a month ago took a few days on the waitlist. Think it depends on your use year and if they're are any contrcats still holding that might fall through. I think that si where my poinst came from. Good luck!

From DVC you can purchase any exact number of points you want as long as it's at least 25 for cash or 50 financing. If you're interested, put yourself on a wait list. You can decide for certain when your name comes up. You could also look resale.
