Can I add Park Hopper to all but one pass?

So we bought a package and didn’t add park hopper, but after thinking about it, I decided I want it. However, my mom has no interest in Park a hopper because she definitely won’t be up for more than one park in a day (she doesn’t intend to do full park days with us). My husband, two of the kids, and I are on one reservation, she and my middle child are on another. i know I can upgrade us, but can I upgrade him without upgrading her? my mother will pay for Park Hopper if it’s a big headache not to, but if I can save her the money, I will.

Yes.
Add the park hopper feature after you check into your resort.
Then you can add hopper just to some family members' passes (you choose).

You can even wait a little longer and add park hopper to passes upon arrival at the second park those family members decided to go to on a given day.
