Can I add money to my onboard account a month before?

I just received a new credit card that doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees...I am Canadian...so the limit is only $5000. With a B2B Europe cruises I know my account will be more than that. I would like to prepay some of my onboard charge so I can use the card.

Has anyone done this?

Call the number for Gifts and Amenities and you can buy onboard credit. Easy peasy.

Or just add funds to your credit card. For instance, if you think you will need $8000 for the cruise expenses, then pay $3000 to your credit card and you have created an $8000 limit.

I always pre charge, and not sure about Canada but countries have local DCL numbers.

In the UK we call a UK number and they can do it all for you, gifts, pre paid tips, stateroom credit, and for UK debits in GBP£.

I would guess Canada would have the same facilities.

I avoid bank credit card international charges this way.

We also are back to back in Europe and pre loading the stateroom account.
