Can I add insurance to my package AFTER it has been booked?

I can't seem to find this answer so I figured one of the Dis experts would know. Am I able to add the insurance to my vacation package (booked through Disney) even though it's been booked for about 2 weeks now? Our final payment isn't due until sometime in December so I have some time, and we are part of a "group" of packages as there are many of us going. But my husband and I would like to add insurance to our portion of the reservation. I know some people find the insurance debatable but that's not really what I'm getting at, so I'm just wondering if I can still add it or not.

Thanks!

I added insurance months after I booked (but before final payment was due). I'm not sure how being part of a large party affects it.

Yes, you can add it. It just needs to be added prior to final balance due 45 days prior to check-in.

I actually just called Disney this week about this. You can add it any time before your final payment is due. I was told you should be able to do it online but if not to just call.

I usually purchase through "insure my trip." The only thing is that to cancel for no reason or accept prior conditions it has a short window to purchase coverage. I'm not sure if it's a few days, week or two week by the company.

There are some policies that have a 90 day look back window and others 6 months. But, that is if you put off getting coverage until their window is gone.
