Can I add dining when I get there?

Hi all. I'd like to add the dining plan to our upcoming stay but I'd prefer to pay for it in cash. I know it says that I have to add the plan 48 hours prior to arrival but I wondered if we were there checking in if we could add the dining plan then?

No, you won't be able to do that. If it is not added and paid for prior to the 48 hour deadline, you won't be able to get it.

In the past I too added the dining plan ahead, but then paid cash upon arrival. With new system, no choice but to pay ahead when adding DP to reservation - at least 2 days prior to arrival. At least I can get points back on the Disney Visa!

We don't use debit cards so I can't. It isn't a big deal, I can charge it but I'd rather not have a big bill to pay after our trip. I know it is the same thing but if I have the cash I'd rather pay for it with that. Thanks all.

add it now on your credit card and use your cash to pay the balance when the bill comes before your trip...no big bill after your trip

Just buy some Disney gift cards and then when you add it, use those to pay for it. It will be like paying cash.

And how do you propose you are going to check in 48 hours ahead of your reservation unless you do it online?
