I'm looking at prices for a November trip (school calendar just changed and now we have days off in November instead of October). I found a good deal on Expedia for room, air & 6-day MYW hoppers. Can I book through Expedia and then add the dining plan?

There is no mention on Expedia about the dining plan and I don't really want to call them because I have a feeling they won't have a clue what I'm talking about.

The Dining Plan needs to be added as part of the package you're purchasing. You cannot add it later through some other means (i.e., directly through Disney after having booked the package through Expedia). If you want the Dining Plan, why not book through Disney directly?

Ordinarilly I would book directly through Disney, but the Expedia price is $1000 less than I can get through Disney. I think the price difference comes mostly from the airfare (Expedia has less expensive flights).

Although I would prefer to book directly through Disney, the Expedia deal may be too good to pass up, even if I can't get the dining plan.

We booked our trip through Interval to stay at the Beach Club. All we had to do was call Disney and tell them we wanted to add the dining plan. They took our information, had confirmed we did have reservations at the Beach Club and said we would owe the money for the dining plan when we checked in. As I understand it, as long as you are staying at a Disney resort, you can add the dining plan upwards of 3 days prior to check-in.

Thanks for the information, lightening....

If we decide to go with the Expedia package I will give it a try. The worst they can say is 'no'.

No, no, you can't do it this way if you are booking a resort stay, not a DVC stay.

Disney Vacation Club reservations can add dining to member reservations, not so with regular Disney reservations. You must book a Magic Your Way Package which includes tickets and accommodations.

That is the first time I have heard that for a non-DVC res.
It is the WDTC guests buy the DDP from. To add dining I only know of AAA, Disney or DVC.
DDP cannot be added at check in (not counting DVC). If it is done, it is incorrect.
