I won a park hopper ticket at a gift auction, can I add days to it?

Never had that happen to me (congrats!!!) so I can't say for sure, but I don't see why not. I don't think WDW cares where the ticket came from. If it's a valid ticket, they'd be happy to extend it for you at cost.

I'd give that a less than 10% chance.
Most (virtually all) tickets that are part of charitable and not-for-profit auctions, contests and awards are provided by Disney as "comp" (complimentary) tickets.

Those tickets have zero monetary value on Disney's ledgers, so they have no value in
an upgrade transaction.

Just enjoy the "free" ticket for its value as admission at Disney.

When my son won four 1-day park hopper tickets at a charity golf tournament a couple of years ago, it came with a letter that stated how long the tickets were good for and any restrictions that came with the tickets.

(They couldn’t be upgraded and could not be used on Christmas Day and they had a use by date.)

If they were donated by Disney they are comp tickets and can not be upgraded. If someone bought them somehow and donated them I guess that could be different, but I don't know if that is possible...for tickets to be donated/sold. If you bought them in an auction they should give you a letter with information about them.

They're almost certainly comp tickets and cannot be modified or upgraded in any way.

It really depends on the ticket, if it says comp or anything like that, then chances are no, unless you receive some pixie dust from a cast member that figures out a way to do so.

If it was a ticket that was purchased and then donated to the charity, then you should be able to do so, the same as any other ticket, it really wouldn't matter.

As long as you donate or sell them before using any entitlements from the ticket, you can buy a ticket and donate or sell it (for the face value or less only) without issue. There are a few restrictions, such as resident only tickets, tickets that have a person's name written on them (even then it can be done at times) and you cannot exchange money on Disney property.

I have some right now and no, they will not allow us to add days on. Of course we can pay full price to buy more, but they won't let us add-on at the discounted rate.
