Can Disney Gift Cards be used everywhere?

Surprising DS22 with a two night visit to Disney on Jan 16. I was thinking I'd get a gift card at the Disney store and he could use it to spend there. I'm sure he won't want plush animals or toys at this point but he might like a beer at a restaurant or something like that.

So, are there any limitations on where the (store bought) gift cards can be used?[url=http://distickers.com/ticker/][/URL]

However, I do know that Disney Gift Cards can be used anywhere in the world, with exception to a few of the smaller kiosks.

Thank you. I thought pre-trip planning would be the best match for my question but I guess I mis-judged.

My big concern was whether he'd be able to use it for an alcoholic beverage so I appreciate knowing it can be used anywhere.

I don't know about alcohol, but I have used them at small ice cream stands to get a Mickey Bar, so i would assume that you could use them for any drink or food item on Disney Property. Hope this helps

I purchased it today and the cashier said that it could be used anywhere one could swipe a credit card and for anything that is sold that way.
