Can DDP be used at California Grill lounge?

Hey everyone,

We're returning to WDW in a few days, and we're going to be on the DxDP. Usually we pay OOP, so we're mostly unfamiliar with this.

Anyway, we always eat at the California Grill lounge when we go because you can order from the full menu and you don't need a reservation. Are you allowed to use the DDP if you're sitting there? I've never thought about this before, but I don't want to show up, grab a table, and then find out that I have to pay for the meal OOP.

Also, are most sushi rolls considered appetizers?

Yes, Cali Grill accepts the dining plans. Don't know about the sushi question.

Yes, you can use the DDP in the lounge area of Cali Grill.

All sushi can be bought using the DDP. However, Yoshi's Sushi Platter and the Snake in the Grass dishes cannot be ordered as appetizers if you are on the DxDP. You can order (2) sushi dishes on the DxDP per person, but the aforementioned must be ordered as your entree.
