Can day guests still park for free at the resorts?

The Disney website says yes but I wanted to confirm this is actually true. Do we need an ADR? This would just be for a couple hours in the afternoon/evening for dinner. We are thinking maybe parking at Boardwalk or Beach Club. Or AKL. Not visiting any parks this trip.

Since Covid, they've been a little strict about visiting resorts unless you're a guest or have an ADR. The Epcot Area resorts are definitely more challenging to park at without an ADR.

Yes, you have to have a ADR to drive to a resort . Not enough parking spaces for resort guest.
As mentioned above, MK and EPCOT are the strictest.

Its really strange (and irritating) that the official Disney website does not say this. How hard would it be just do say "Dining Reservations required to park at Disney hotels." All it says is:

"Day Guests
Complimentary standard self-parking is available while enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels. "

But I appreciate the first hand info and we will spend the evening somewhere else. (I'm happy to have an ADR, but no where I want to go has one available for our date. It was just a whim sort of thing.)

At resorts that have valet parking, you should be able to valet park

Do take a look the night before as many restaurants come available as guests cancel to avoid no-show fees.

You can valet, from what I remember, it is about $33.

Park at the studios, get on the skyline to Epcot then walk across.

If you are willing to pay valet, I would try that, but I have gotten day of ADRs, sometimes within an hour of a reservation. This could be a way to go as well.
