Can Concierge get PS better than the average person?

We will be staying at the AKL Concierge in Dec. and I was wondering if the concierge staff can make PS for CRT breakfast better than we can? Are they more sucessful?

This has been very hit or miss. Some people saying that yes, they can, others (like me) saying no not really. The only seatings that our concierge was able to make for us during a last minute trip were one dinner at Ohanas for our first night, 2 at Chef Mickeys for dinner,one at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and one at Crystal Palace for dinner. Of course we were sick of Chef Mickey's by the time we left! We were at the Poly by the way.

Some have had luck with concierge getting the CRT for breakfast, but I'm not sure if thats due to canellations or if they really have seatings set aside for them. Most people recommend trying to book the ressie yourself, and then of course have them try if you don't have it when you arrive. It doesn't hurt!

The general belief is that your concierge really only has pull at the restaurants located in your particular resort, so you should be good to go for Boma!

On both my recent concierge stays I've been told that the practice of having tables set aside for concierge guests has stopped. I know this, because during my most recent trip to GF, I was desperately trying to get a PS for Chef Mickeys and wasn't getting anything, so I called concierge to see if they could help. I even said, maybe you'll have better luck than I did. That's when the CM, told me that there is no more preferential treatment for concierge guests in getting a PS. BAsically you have as good of a chance calling yourself. NOw, the GF did get me a PS at Cindy's but didn't guarantee it. I also called and got one myself, when I called the concierge to say I had gotten one and they didn't need to try on subsequent mornings, they then told me they had gotten me one. I then canceled the one I had, they had gotten me the time I had wanted.

I guess that we had better cover all our bases then. I will rty when the time rfame comes in and I will let them try too.

Our best successes have been to try and book things that we were set on doing at a certain day or time. For other things we used the concierge. He did do a little magic and we got a "cancellation" PS for Cindy's on our last morning.

The Poly concierge got me a Cindy's breakfast ressie for our last trip, but I contacted them just a few days before the 60 day mark so they could get it.
