Can BLT guests rent a cabana at the CR?

When staying at BLT, aren't you technically a guest of the CR anyway? That's where you check-in and check-out and there is no "desk" (or any other services, for that matter) at BLT anyway.

Yes - you have access to all of CR's amenities. CR guests don't have access to BLT however.

It is called Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort. Sounds like you could reserve a cabana at CR or one of the ones at BLT.

You definitely can!! I've rented boats as well as cabanas!
