Can AOA activate our annual passes?

We will be staying at AOA in May. I bought our Annual passes online last summer and have not gone to get them activated. We booked an Annual pass room rate and QSDP.

Can we activate our Annual Passes at AOA, if so where? If so, do we have to do this before checking in?(since we have an AP room rate?). If we activate them at AOA would we get the new RFID passes or would we need to go to Epcot still?

I believe they can only be activated at a Guest Services window.

On at least two occasions, I have checked-in for a room booked at an AP rate before I had my activated pass in hand. I wasn't asked for it at check-in - or ever - so it's quite likely you won't be either.

I called the annual pass number and the CM said I could activate it at the AOA concierge, I said are you SURE? She said yes...I thought she was probably wrong though..hmm

I have been asked. It depends on the CM at the desk. But they give you 24 hrs to get it activated and bring it back to show.

I have always activated ours at Guest Services either at a park or DTD. News to me if they can do it at the resort, but many things are changing, so doesn't hurt to ask.
