I am purely just curious. I am 20 now and when pins first came out I was younger and my parents bought me a few every time we went to WDW. When I got older I stopped because they were too much for me to want to buy on my own. I have always loved them though and I actually bought a toy story mania one when I was down there this time. That one I obviously know the value of, but the rest of these are 6 years older or more for the most part, some even more like 10 years old. I'm sure most aren't worth anything (some were even free). But anyway I am almost thorugh with college and I hope to collect them once I get a real job and have money to blow (hopefully..). So anyway I'm wondering what I have to start with.

Basically I'm not looking for the value of all of them individually or anything..but would any of the values / rarity surprise me at all? I mean like more than 20 bucks or something?

that star wars one is a star wars weekend pin that spins and says that on the back. the rock n roller coaster one is a 5th anniversary pin. the rest can pretty much be seen i think.

they all are at least 6 years old besides the toy story one i just got.

thanks!

Pin values are weird, value depends on the collector really. I would suggest you go to eBay and research them there, otherwise there's not really a "guide" pertaining to pin values. I do have a book but it really isn't that great for values.

I have been researching and found out about this whole world of scrapper pins.
So I don't really trust the value of any of these online since there's so many fakes out there.
Anywho, the coolest one I seem to have is the rock n roller coaster 5th anniversary thing. Says limited edition 2000 on the back. Never even knew it. And btw, all of these were bought in Disney, through Disney lol.
I never knew there was such a dark side to Disney pins until this week. Kind of sad.

pins tend to sell well by event (ex. Share Holders Meeting), LE size, and character. Its only worth what someone will pay. At worst, you'll get what you paid. At best, I've never seen a pin sell for more than $100.

well, the "at worst" part..is not really correct.
Very few pins ever get their original sale price when sold second hand.
and...unless it is an LE of 500 or less....even 250 or less...
and long retired...most do not sell for much more than their original sale price..assuming you pay full retail.
Collecting pins may be fun,
But,I do not think it will ever be financially rewarding.:rotfl:
