I've got a PS for Teppanyaki as part of the Candlelight Processional package on Dec 19th (just me and DD aged 10) because I wanted to try something different - we did R&C last year but food while good was a little too close to home!!!! But don't seem to see many reviews so can anyone give me some inside info please?!?!?

TIA

Teppanyaki is ok but nothing spectacular. Not all chefs "perform" for you. Some simply cook the food and talk which is fine, but those going to expect a "show" may be disappointed.

Teppanyaki is our favorite! The food is hot and fresh. You always know it has been well prepared because it is cooked right in front of you. We are doing Teppanyaki this year as part of our CP package on 12/21. Can't wait!!!:D

I ate there for lunch last trip and loved it - it's on my 'go to again' list for sure :)

I had the Chicken & Shrimp combo - the Chef was ok, but not spectacular in regards to 'performance', but it was still great to have the food cooked right there in front of you - yum! The only thing I wasn't so keen on was the rice. You get a little bowl of sticky boiled rice...and I'm not big on sticky rice myself, but aside from that I woofed down every morsel :)

I agree with the above posters, its a great place.

But I think having a great performance by your chef makes the meal even better.

The tables seat 8 so you will dine with strangers if there is less than 8 in your party. The food is very fresh and served right of the grill in front of you.

Give it a try!

We highly recommend it for the CP package. Last year I had Steak and Lobster which is listed at $30.95. Plus add in an appetizer (I recommend the scallops) and dessert and you have a real bargain. We are bringing the extended family back for the CP this year. It's their Christmas present.

We ate there for dinner in Aug and did not care for it. We have several of those type of restaurants here in Seattle and some of them are OUTSTANDING! Maybe we are spoiled with all the super fresh cold water seafood here, we found it OK but not great and WAY over priced. We won't go back. Alot of people love it though.

The part about being spoiled w/good fresh seafood is probably true. I live in the midwest so we are not that lucky. As for price, it is probably a matter of what you are used to paying. The prices around Disney are pretty comparable to what we pay around Chicago. To someone from New York they may look downright cheap while someone from Oklahoma might faint at the sight of the prices. It's all relevant to what you are used to.

We don;t mind paying 20 to 30 dollars a entree if its great but this was far from what we get in Seattle! However at Jiko and the California Grill we had fantastic meals! Those will diffanatly be places we would reccommend.
