The one I tried before (by Plextor) didn't have a good resolution, so when I got my old home movies from VHS onto DVD, they looked pixelated on our 60" DLP television. I need one that will not do that.
Are you looking for something to transfer them onto your computer?
I have never had much luck with those type cards. If you have many many videos you want to transfer to DVD you might actually want to buy a DVD recorder that also has VHS.

Yes, I want to go from VHS - to computer - out to DVD. I have a really nice digital video editing program to edit and add graphics and text so that is why I want to get a computer one. The problem is, a lot of the devices you find in the chain stores have resolutions that are not good enough for playback on a big television.
Sounds good. Do you know if it comes with any editing software? The one I use (ULead VideoStudio) has had problems with some capture devices and I'd be willing to just use a new program if I have to.

Comes with nothing at all, however it does a great job transferring the video. It captures at NTSC resolution so no scaling is needed. It also never seems to drop any frames for me.
