Can anyone help re. DLH fastpasses?

When we checked in they only had enough fastpasses for the one person we had booked into the room, as we added two onto the room with APs.
The lady gave us a few more and said to go back tomorrow to get the rest and we thought no more of it.
We have just discovered that the FPs have dates on and we have used the wrong ones today
We didn't know as we weren't told and the lady at Big Thunder Mountain where we used the FPs didn't question it so we don't know what to do now.
Shall we just ask to swap the FPs with yesterday's date on for tomorrow? Or will they think we are hoarding them?
Any ideas appreciated!

Ask reception to validate the ones you should have used today for tomorrow. Have read lots of reports of people doing that. Have fun! x

Sorted it out this morning but felt very very bad about it as the cast member was not impressed, which wasn't unreasonable as we should've read them more closely but I think it's an easy mistake to make.

I did this with our gf ones the cm should explain better I think .
Meal vouchers have a dates between to be used by and I thought the same for fast pass as the look the same.
