monday mgm park
mamas at 4:00 with fantasmic package

tuesday mk park

wednesday animal kingdom park

thursday park???
Need help????

friday mk park
crystal palace 4:00 then mnsshp

saturday
free day

Planning on hitting parks early and then coming back to pofq around lunch to nap or swim, then go eat and then head back into park, except for wc.Just had to book that one, sounded like to much fun!

My questions are:

Am I missing something I should take the kids to?

Would you change any adrs?

Thinking of changing wc with bona

What is akeria hope i got that right

My dw (wife i hope) doesnt think epcott would be as fun, so she wants to skip it

This is our first trip!!
Thanks in advance

I would probably change WCC, its okay and it can be fun but sometimes its not as "rowdy", how about RFC since youll be at the AK? We love it and the kids will probably like the enviornment. We didnt like Boma all that much but we are very picky. I might change MM to the Brown Derby if it were us, but other than that everything looks good. Kona cafe also has great food maybe you could go there once also or Sci-Fi also fun!!

Have a great trip !

I also would not do WCC on the AK day. I don't really like WCC any longer at all as our food was mediocre and the atmosphere was not fun last time we went; however, many people love it. But if you want to do it, you should do it on an MK night. AK to WL is a very long trip, and then you'd have to get back to your resort. Why not try Boma when you're at AK?

I also would consider 'Ohana or Kona for one of the other dinners. If you go to MK or Epcot, which you likely will, you'll be able to get there easily via the Monorail. Both have good food, and 'Ohana has a fun atmosphere.

If your still looking for something for Thursday, have you thought about hitting up a waterpark? If you've got the waterpark and more option than I think that could definitely be a nice mid-week semi-relaxing day.

btw, Are you not doing EPCOT?

I did swap wc for bomas!
I didnt get the water parks so we could upgrade room, plus my son is a lovable red head freckled burner!
Wife doent want to go to epcot, she went 14 years ago and said it would not be enjoyable for the kids:(
To me the dinners look great!

Haha, yeah waterparks probably aren't the best idea then. But as far as epcot goes, theyve got a lot of relatively new rides...well, rides they didn't have 15 years ago anyway. Soarin', test track, and mission space are in my opinion three of the best rides in all the parks. Especially mission space, I know I would have been blown away if I went on that when I was 10...heck im still blown away now.

Do NOT miss Epcot! There's plenty of stuff for kids there, plus great dining, entertainment, etc. Some of the very best rides in WDW (Soarin', Test Track, Mission:Space) are in Epcot, and also some of the best entertainment. There's so much to do that it really takes a couple of days to do it all.

I second not missing Epcot. Your 10 year old will love Test Track and Mission Space and the 4 year old will love Soarin' and Figment. At each of the countries there is a "Kidcot" stop where your children can decorate a mask and receive a rubber stamp from that country. If you decide to try Epcot, I suggest Coral Reef for your meal...the huge aquarium is beautiful and the kids will really enjoy it.

As for food choices, we haven't ever eaten at Boma, but we did WCC over Christmas and it was mediocre at best. As other posts have said the food was just ok and the waiter didn't even try any of the crazy antics I've read on the board. DS did have fun with the pony race and pledge, but it wasn't good enough to justify a return visit.

I'm also not a big fan of Crystal Palace...instead we prefer LTT at MK. If you'll be there on a MNSSHP the characters will have "costumes" on, a bit of a change from the regular attire.

Don't skip Epcot, it's awesome and my kids 6, 4 and 2 love it. I have run into some people who don't like Epcot (okay 1 to be exact) and I just don't get it....

As far as food goes, I would eat at Rain forest cafe even though it's not on the plan-you're kids will totally flip over it. If not, do Boma instead of WC-just easier to get to after a day at AK and the food is very good.

We stayed at POFQ & loved it!! The boat to DTD is really great so make sure you allow time for that. We did Epcot w/ young kids 3 & 4 at the time & they were a little bored (the living seas were closed that day) This trip we are planning to do Epcot again, I'm sure that there is alot for your kids, & maybe you can convince DW with ADR's at a restaurant that she would like(so many choices!) Rose & Crown has fireworks views:love: That being said, if your wife doesn't change her mind I would do another day at MK. There is so much to do there, you could do a half day on thurs. & do the rest of the day at DTD. If you do MK again you could take the monorail to the Poly for a meal You would probably enjoy seeing that resort. I would keep the WCC ADR. Your kids will love it, just make sure DD takes a nap after AK. Have a great time!! Good luck getting DS away from the dragon slide to make those ADR's:rotfl:

We are doing Coral Reef at Epcot this trip also. I'm hoping the tanks will have a calming effect on the kids! :thumbsup2 I have never been there before either, but have heard good things from family members who have. You might as well make an ADR, you could always cancel if you had to. Good Luck:goodvibes

You're going to be there the same time we are! (WDW I mean, we're at POP this time)

Anyway, first off-great choice with POFQ! We love that resort. We first stayed there when my DD was 5 yrs. old and she loved, and still loves, the pool.

I too was going to suggest a day at a water park. It's my DD7's favorite day(s) and, I'll admit it, mine too! But I can understand about your son's fair complexion.

I totally second (or is it fifth?) the suggestion about EPCOT. I'm glad to see you're going on Thursday. My DD really enjoys EPCOT even though there aren't many "rides" for her to do. One of her first favs there was the boat ride (Maestrom) in Norway. It was one of the few things she could go on the first few trips. It still remains a fav. Also, the boat ride in Mexico (just redone) is another one she enjoys. The "Living with the Land" boat ride (there is a theme here!) is a family favorite.

If your DD is tall enough, Soarin' is not to be missed. As for your son, MS and TT are awesome. My DD was finally tall enough to ride TT a few trips ago and now it's a"must do" everytime.

Your DD will probably love doing the masks at the stations in the WS as well as the Kidcots in FW. There are actually quite a few places to see characters at Epcot. There's the Character Connection in FW as well as characters (inc. princesses) in alot of the countries. Last trip we also ran into a bunch of characters between Japan and Germany. Most kids will enjoy riding the Friendships on the lake.

We're going to MK on the 14th also. (Haven't full decided about MNSSHP yet) We have ADRs at LTT for about 5 p.m. that night. Maybe we'll see you around MK. Look for my purple baggalini messenger bag and red mickey crocs!

Have a great time! :grouphug:

Do NOT change it to RFC, since that park closes early why dont you go to DTD and try one of the restaurants there or hop over to epcot and have dinner and watch Illuminations?

I really think that your family will enjoy Epcot more than expected. It is our family's favorite park. Also don't miss the jr. chef activity in the Land. Your DD will love it. By the way Coral Reef was the best meal of our trip. Don't miss the chocolate wave cake!!!!! We will be returning there 2 times on our next trip in 2008.

I'd strongly echo the don't skip Epcot folks. It's been my favorite park since I was younger than your DS.

I'd also suggest looking into the Little Ones Magic Hour at the Magic Kingdom. It'll be going on while your there. On Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, MK opens an hour early for resort guests. Only Fantasyland is open, but a bunch of characters are out to play with the kids and go on the rides with guests. There's a thread on it here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1431686

We'll be there at the same time, so if you go on Wednesday, we'll see you there.

I'd also recommend Boma either for breakfast before or dinner after your day at Animal Kingdom.

And lastly, we were big fans of POFQ. Enjoy your visit!
