myself, my DH and my 2 yo DS for our first time at MNSSHP this year???? I would love some ideas if anyone has anything that would be cute for us or has seen anything that would be cute....this is our first time going to MNSSHP and I am not big into dressing up, so I may just dress up my 2 yo DS, however, I think it would be fun to be a princess or something, getting DH dressed up may be a little more of a chore than its worth, however, I would love some suggestions....We are going to MNSSHP Thurs. Oct.6th
Thanks guys.

We saw the GREATEST family costume combo a few years ago at MNSSHP (2002) with a mom, dad and little boy. The little boy was dressed as Peter Pan, the mom was Captain Hook and the dad? He was Tinkerbell, of course! Little green dress, tights, wings and all. Priceless!

It was absolutely hysterical and everyone around them was loving it... :rotfl:

Now that we have our own DS, I am already dropping hints...but we go in December instead of October.

Good luck!!

I saw a family at the party 2 years ago that was dressed really great - the little boy was Stitch (the real Disney costume), the mom had on a Hawiian dress and lei with flip flops (Lilo) and the dad was.... ELVIS! It was great!

One year we went as dalmations. I painted spots on white t-shirts and painted the collar of each shirt a different color so they looked like dog collars. I made floppy ears by hot gluing white felt onto headbands and then put black felt spots on the ears.

They were really easy to make and were really comfortable, never mind easy to pack.

A great moment was during the parade, Cruella saw us in the crowd and starting yelling that they had missed a few and to "get" us!

Have a great trip!

Last year we were there for the MNSSHP and we dressed our DS2 as Mickey. I got a really good deal on a costume from Disneyshopping. It was so cute because all the CM's kept calling him BOSS.

At my DS's school party this year one of his friends was Mr. Potato Head. The costume was a tan pillow case and the facial features were made of felt with small holes for eyes. It would be easy to pack and not take up much room.

We went to the MNSSHP a few years ago and there were so many fantastic costumes on show but the one that really sticks in my mind was a teenage girl who dressed up as the 'Statue of Liberty'. She looked absolutely amazing. Everything about her costume was perfect and she told me that her mum had made everything! I couldnt believe it!
