Can anyone get through to Disney?

I am trying to wait patiently to hear back from my TA. I know she has a lot of clients, but I want to know if she was able to get us FD. :bored:
 
Waiting for our TA (Who is my aunt) too. She's a nurse and she's sleeping right now! My fiancé was on hold for over an hour just to be told that our travel agent has to call back to get the 30% off our room. I really hope we don't miss out!
 
all done! I called through at 12:20 and was with an agent in less than two minutes. she had just started work and was not aware there had been any problems.
the only thing I don't like is that the first day we arrive is not in the discount period (RO) so we actually had to make two reservations, one for the first day and the second for the rest of our stay. still worth the savings. :thumbsup2
 

Wishing us all good luck! Makes me nervous that there are so many trying to get the discounts that the system was overwhelmed.
 
So disappointing Disney tells me yesterday to call back ticket services today to resolve an urgent ticketing issue before my trip . Because they use a central server all phone lines get slammed and the office is only open between 930 and 430. 5 hours of busy tone or car units busy unfair to those that don't have a need for reservations
 
systems are back up!

They had no discounts for a standard view Boardwalk room on 10/26 (Saturday). She also said nothing was available on that date for Beach or Yacht at the standard view level. Club level discounts were available though.
 
i won't stress over not getting through and not getting the discount. I remember last year I booked a trip and didn't even know there was free dining.

When I found out like 1 month later, I called and the CM just fixed for me.
 
Are those of you waiting having luck applying the room discount to the room portion of your packages?

If that's what you need to do, it CAN be done. If the CM tells you it's not possible, ask him/her to check with someone else or just ask to speak with a supervisor. If your resort/room type is available under the RO discount, it can be applied to the room portion of a package :thumbsup2. Good luck.

Can't speak for the FD offer, but Orbitz is offerring some NICE room only offers, no hold, just online booking. I just got a steal on CSR. Use code HOTEL10 for an extra 10% discount.

It shows me the FL Res discount, but won't take once I add it to my cart. Here's to hoping I get through soon!!! :worship:

Thanks :goodvibes. I agree about the website. I was playing around with it before I got through on the phone and it did the same thing to me that it did to you.....it let me go all the way to the cart and then gave a message that it wasn't available :sad2:.

Hold # 1-1:15 minutes...got cut off.
Hold # 2- 1:35 minutes..bluetooth died...dropped call.
now, can't get through at all....

good heavens! I just got through and was told to call back in an hour because they are doing system upgrades. I mean really???? :confused3

After 30 minutes of nonstop calling, I finally got through. I was only on hold about 15 minutes. Was easily able to modify my existing reservation to include the free dining plan, which knocked about $1000 off my trip price!

Cant get through on website or phone.... I am so disappointed as all the resorts I wanted are unavailable now

My DD, my TA is just know getting thru after being on hold twice, first time 2.5 hours and second time, 2 hours.
 
Beware of the website: I was able to get one reservation booked, but when I was working on the second, I got to the final purchase page, hit "Purchase," waited a while looking at Woody and then got an error message to try again later. So I waited a while, hit purchase again and got the same message. I figured no big deal, I'd try again later, but when I check my credit card, I see I've got 2 pending charges for reservations that I did not receive confirmation numbers for.

Heaven knows how they're going to be able to track this down and erase the charges since there is no confirmation number, but I've emailed them to try to straighten it out (I'm not sitting on hold for hours). If nothing else, I'll have to dispute the charges with my credit card because I have 2 deposits and no reservation!

So beware the website today.
 
Someone on another thread suggested booking a room through Travelocity. Well I just did that. I booked Pop Century for 4 nights, two weekday and two weekend for $377 total. Use promotion code 48HR75E. I think that code is only good through tonight. I have never booked through Travelocity before.
 
If you weren't able to get the room of your choice I highly suggest that you don't give up. A LOT of people are double and triple booked. (have an actual reservation with deposit PLUS holds). All of the holds will drop after a week (or earlier if people can call and cancel), so there may be rooms available after that.
 
I have been trying to apply a room only discount to my existing reservation all day. The phone system is still saying that "all circuits are busy."

For the person above who is discouraged that the website has all of her resorts listed as unavailable, I would keep trying. Early this morning, I looked to see which resorts I could change to if my existing reservation didn't have a discount available. I couldn't find any availability for any deluxe resorts at all. I find it hard to believe that all of the discounted rooms were taken by then (about 7:45 am) given that the phone system wasn't working. I bet the computer system is messed up, too.
