I believe that the upper age limit for BBB is 12 years old. Sorry.

Yes, that is true. They recently made the age limit 12.

But, I believe you can go to the Barber Shop and get "Pixie Dusted"!pixiedust:

Not anymore.Age limit is 12yrs old.Not sure if Pirate League also has an age limit

You can also do the pirate League, they have a Pirate Princess as well as a Mermaid look and I think it's alot cheaper.

That's too bad. We took our daughters in on Halloween day a few years ago, and there were two adult ladies from England getting princess makeovers (complete with Cinderella dresses). They said they did it every year, and it was fun just to watch them get into the spirit of it all. I guess they won't be doing it this year, eh?!

Pirates League is still open to adults. But BBB recently went to 12 and under only.

Oh that stinks! In 2009, I went with my then 9 yr old daughter and we had a blast, the Fairy Godmothers in Training were great.

That's LAME!!!

My best friend and I went before I moved away from Florida... We were not quite 30 at the time and had just an absolute BLAST! We dressed alike and ended up with FGIT who were BFFs, too... The 4 of us had so much fun!!

I can understand why they did it.. we might have been the type of folks who prompted that response, as we might have displayed behavior better suited for the Pirate's League than the "BOUTIQUE" :rolleyes2 HEh... (no drunkenness, just a bit boisterous! lol)

She and I were going to go again, and take her daughter now that she's 4... oh well.. I'll just pray she'd rather be a pirate princess.

No. My understanding is they dropped the age, because too many parents were complaining they couldn't get their little girls in, because of too many adults that were doing it. Plus they are more apt to sell the dresses to little girls, than adults, so more money for Disney.

I was so unhappy when I learned about the age change- such a shame! All the wimen in our family (6)did this one year and it was a blast.

I think this is it. No chance to sell a $200 package to an adult since they don't carry dresses in adult sizes.

This is what I was told as well. They changed the age last fall but honored those who made reservations 180 days out. Last December was my last visit to the BBB. Boy did the CMs at the DTD BBB give me some nasty looks because I was enjoying the BBB with my DD. We would go every trip. One year we had 3 generations at the BBB. It was always fun.

I'm sorry, pardon my ignorance, I just don't get why a grown woman would want to do this in the first place, it's really kind of weird. The pirate thing I kind of understand, but BBB, I just really don't get.

Save your $60 and go get a nice manicure or pedicure somewhere.

Do you dress up for halloween?

Enjoying a special moment like that with your child is why. Now granted I did see the posts about just adults doing it and I speculate, because they didnt have this when we were kids. So why not? Disney is a place for a person to dig deep back into themselves and pull the kid right out. Cant think of a better way for a woman to feel like a young girl who at one point wanted to be and feel like a princess. ;)

That said, I certainly wouldnt want to stand in the way of a child having this experience now, so I have no issue with the age limit. :)

Thank you nadiakim!

I went to the BBB because my DD asked me to go with her. I wouldn't have done the BBB without my DD. The 3 generation visit was the next visit after my DD almost died at 3. We were given it for the year of a million dreams promotion. It became a special time for me and her every trip after that. I think if the BBB is so busy they were turning away children, maybe they should open a 3rd BBB. A BBB at HS would be lots of fun.

No, sorry, I don't think I've dressed up for Halloween since I was probably 10.

I don't have children, but I still can't see why you would want to do that. Dressing up for Halloween is a lot dfferent than going to BBB. That's alot of money to waste, but that's just my opinion.

OH MY! I can only imagine just how special that whole experience was. And I agree with you, if its that busy, why not make more money and open another. :goodvibes

Others could say the same about taking trips to Disney. Don't look down on someone just because what they spend their money on isn't your cup of tea.
