Can adults go to bibbidi bobbidi boutique?

Different strokes for different folks. Actually, what's kind of disturbing to me is that people are making judgemental comments about nothing more than theme park guests wanting to experience an attraction exactly as encouraged by Disney until a few months ago. Why does it bother other people so much? It didn't hurt you, and you didn't have to pay for it or take time out of your park day for it. Insinuating that there's something wrong with people who made a different but equally legitimate touring choice at that time is not very kind, in my opinion.

:thumbsup2 Agreed.

What bothers me most about the age restriction, and you can include the playground example as well is that I think a mother should be able to experience it with her children. Just like the playground heck yes this grown adult will get on the playground and slide/swing/ whatever with her daughter... why? Because I love her and will spend every waking moment I can with her.

I love to experience fun times, and milestones with my baby, and that will continue as she grows. So it will be sad when I have to tell her no sorry mommy cant do this with you she is too old. Whatever, we will find something else to do together, and if she is anything like me she wont be interested in princesses anyways.

If I had the choice to do BBB on my own no way I would do it, but I will not turn my nose up :snooty: at an adult who wants to. That is their choice and I unlike some others, do not let what others do that has no affect on me, bother me. Now I know what I said will get twisted, so please twist away. :rotfl2: :dance3::cheer2:

The DIS never ceases to amaze me. On one thread we have a “guest” complaining that CMs wearing sunglasses ruins the magic. And over here we have ADULTS upset that they cannot put glitter in their hair.

We all know Disney really discourages adults from any type of costume. It confuses kids and they cannot ensure the quality. So for every “oh look at that princess” there is an “eh look at that princess.”

During my trip I personally saw a grown woman well over 200 pounds working on a turkey leg and Mickey bar while being dressed as Cinderella. And she had just about sweated through her dress. Yea really magical and fun times explaining to my kids that no she was not a princess. So when you dress like a princess and then visit a place known for princesses you are attracting attention to yourself.

May I ask exactly where you saw this taking place?

And I'm curious when this was.

September of last year.

Do you ever wonder why prices always go up? It’s because of crap like “maybe we can sue them for age discrimination” or the multitude of people employed by Disney that have to deal with ADULTS throwing a fit because they can’t play dress up.

Actually I haven't spent too much time worrying about why prices go up. Prices will go up, lawsuits or not, as long as people keep buying tickets. Period. Simple as that.

And FWIW..... I think most people sweat at Disney in September. And I'm pretty sure your kids weren't confused about whether that was the real Cinderella.

Regardless, if she was in costume, she should have been asked to change as it's against park policy for adults to be in costume outside the hard ticketed parties.

You are correct. Thank you for pointing out what my kids do and do not know. She went to BBB and looked Cinderella-ish. Enough for one of my kids to ask in a grossed out manner if that was Cinderella.

And yes most people do sweat at Disney in September. But not the characters, at least not through their dress.

Just out of curiosity...

I thought there was a strict restriction that adults could not be dressed up inside the park, for safety reasons? Wouldn't that be the same whether they are dressed up before or after the enter the parks?

If adults were allowed to get did the the nines like Jack Sparrow or Snow White, doesn't that break their own policy?

Maybe they should meet the demand by making a BBB in each park.
I would prefer it at DHS or even DAK because those are parks where we have extra time! At DHS it could be a Hollywood Glamour Boutique! That would be something my preteen daughter would love.

They are not dolls, they are action figures.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: We had 7 girls in our family (parents grandchildren) and 3 daughters, AND 1 lone grandson. . . so it's natural that when we use to buy him Spiderman and Superman toys we would call them "dolls" it would make my brother in law SO mad. . . He would say this all the time. . . "IT's not a doll it's an action figure!!!"

No, they are not one and the same. I don't get people dressing up for Halloween, beyond their teen years.
I'm not a fan of BBB personally. I think it's overpriced and they pull the little girls' hair back way too tight.

But, there isn't anything wrong with mother and daughter getting made up together. Or wearing a Halloween costume as an adult. I dress up to hand out candy every year and the kids love it.

Quite the entertaining thread for a Sunday evening. I knew there had to be some controversial stuff in here or else the thread wouldn't be 10 pages long.

I could't care less about this topic. Personally, I would never pay money to have myself primped out like a Disney Princess but, I also couldn't care less if someone else does. I do not need to understand why an adult woman would want to go to BBB.. its actually none of my business and I truly don't care.

I think sometimes it is easy to get a little judgmental in these threads, and some of the personal insults in here were a little awkward to read. My mother used to say (as most mother's did) "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all". I know its a free country and all that and we are here to discuss all things Disney but, sometimes if it gets personal, it maybe time to just keep our opinions about things to ourselves.

I really hope the woman who dressed like Cinderella in the MK isn't on these forums because the way she was described was extremely unflattering. This just goes to show you no matter what you wear , what you eat or what you do, there is probably someone watching you, sizing you up, making their own little judgments about you. Yikes!

The hilarious part of this is I just realized I could be coming off as judgmental as well by pointing out others comments in here. Oh the delicious irony. I am signing off now. :lmao:

Yes, that is true. They recently made the age limit 12.

But, I believe you can go to the Barber Shop and get "Pixie Dusted"!pixiedust:

I know someone who did Bibbidy Bobbitidy as as adult, and her BF did Pirates League. They were goofing around and had fun doing this. It was about 2 years ago.
