Can ADR's Be Made If Staying Off Site

What is the rule for making a ADR if a hotel reservation is made off-site?

ADR's can be made for anyone even off site guests but since you will not be staying at a WDW Resort, they would not be able to call you if something happened to your ADR time or if the restaurant had to be closed.

Sure they could. That's one reason why they always ask for a contact phone number every single time you call the dining line.

Anyone can make ADRs. Here's a great link on ADRs: http://allearsnet.com/din/reserv.htm When you call they will ask for your home phone number and also where you are staying. If they need to call you about a reservation (cancellation or etc), they will call the home number.

This doesn't help if you are already at WDW!!! This happened to us last year during Hurricaine Wilma. We were staying at SOG. Disney called our home in Maine to let us know that our ressie at Le Cellier would be cancelled due to the Hurricaine. My DD answered the phone. She called us on the cell to let us know our ressie was cancelled. She got a good laugh out of that one.
