Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

:welcome: My relatives live in Glendale area and one lives in Moon Valley? up in the hills off of Thunderbird....

It's been crazy. I was just talking to my SIL's brother this morning. We want to be done with 2007.

Goodness, I hope your luck changes for the better with the new year. And I hope the rest of this year passes quickly and without anymore troubles!

I'm pretty far south and east of your relatives. I'm in the community of Ahwatukee, which is the as far south as you can get before it's not Phoenix anymore.

I keep saying it can't get any worse...and then it does. :confused3

I'm kind of numb right now, but I'm trying to keep my mind on other things...like work at church and my trip. Only 99 days now...

I am familiar w/ Ahwatukee. Although I haven't been out there, there's a Sweet Tomatoes out there somewhere. I worked for them for 12 years, the last 2 in Training/Devt.

Okay, I've gotten through about 1/2 of your TR, but I have to go to sleep!

I LOVE your Beverly pics. So funny!

As a matter of fact, all your pics are amusing. So much fun to look at.

I have a soft spot for Japanese Americans...Japan has been good to me. My DH was born in Japan!

We eat at that exact Sweet Tomatoes about once a week. I love it!

I guess you have to be numb by now...you probably would not be able to function otherwise. Good plan to keep your mind on other things...the DIS definitely helps!

Just a tidbit for you SweetT/Souplantation headquarters is in Rancho Bernardo CA. They evacuated yesterday. As far as I know, HQ was okay. Many people from HQ were evacuated.

Rock on with the double digits! :rockband: :rockband: What kind of food is at Sweet Tomato? I love the name! How about a movie date with Bindy? You won't have to share the popcorn::

98 more days.

Sweet Tomatoes is a Soup/Salad and more buffet restaurant. All food is made from scratch. 60 foot salad bar. 6-7 made from scratch soups. Muffins, foccacia, fresh fruit, frozen yogurt......Closest one to you. North Carolina or Chicago area. There are some in the Orlando area.

I was a manager, then Kitchen Manager, then General Manager, then Training Store Manager, then New Restaurant Opening Manager, then Troubleshooter....it was a great 12 years.

I just realized something this morning..........

This brings a little smile to my face.:thumbsup2

8 more days in October
30 days in Nov
31 days in Dec
I leave Jan 30th.................................

That's right ladies and gentlemen, I've reached a milestone moment...............

DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry for all your losses. Every funeral brings back memories of the ones that came before. :sad1: But I know you and your family's faith will pull you through these rough times. You know what they say, "If you've come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on." Looking forward to this vacation is hopefully bringing you some comfort.

On the plus side, congrats on the double digits!!!!

Can you believe I'll be at Disney in under 2 months???!?!? :dance3:

Talk to you soon.

I can't believe it. How nice for you. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the  it's been a tough week. The fires here have taken a toll on the air quality and w/ bad lungs, it makes me very tired.

I have some good stuff planned for the PTR, stay tuned.popcorn::

I just found you, ok not really you but your report, and have spent the last 2 hours reading. I'm so sorry for all the losses you've had!
I love seeing the binder chronicles and all of your pictures. I enjoy taking strange pictures myself. Notice my avatar..............that's my boys and dh "peeing" in a morrocan fountain.

We've got a good "peeing" pic of Jordo... but it might be too much for public viewing... eh, Jordan...?

But, it would be CLASSIC Jordan...;)

Hee hee.

I'll have to duplicate that peeing picture when I go in Feb...I don't think we'll have much of a problem getting my friends to join in...

I wish we could post that picture from AK. There is a water feature by the Kali River Restrooms that if done correctly makes it look like you're........yup. I just don't think it's appropriate for the DIS.:sad2: :rolleyes1

Well, hello again, Winkers!!

Potty pics fit in quite well over here, don't they ya'll?? :thumbsup2

I have read many, many, many, lots, tons of PTRs and TRs--many more than I ever should.

Among the running themes in PTRs:

Itineraries
Mode of Travel
ADRs
Resort choices
Cast of Characters
Background information
Pictures

AND THE FOLLOWING 2:

BAGS
I am especially interested in this obsession w/ bags. I thought it was a woman thing, but apparently there's this thing called a "murse" that is a cross between a fanny pack and backpack for men. Who knew?

Then there's this thing called a bagallini. Half Backpack, half shoulder purse.

So I thought I'd better check it out. So I went to the store and I checked out lots of different bags and I narrowed it down to two...It's gonna be tough.

This first one has more space and I was able to add my own design on it. However, I do have to purchase 15 minimum.

The second one I can get basically for free, but may not be weather proof. It is also pretty small.

What do you think? ;)

Apparel

Here's the most pressing apparel decisions that I must make:

Here are my T-shirt choices. I just have to smell them to find out which ones are clean.

Intervention needed, STAT!

LOL! :rotfl:

I've always thought that men were such simple creatures, really.
Jordan, I think you just proved my point!

Kathy

Wow! You've got some tough decisions to make. I don't envy you.

Oh, and you boys are gross! It always weirds me out when my husband sniffs his clothes to decide if he is going to wear them.
