Update for today

I may have pictures up later tonight for your viewing pleasure, but right now a little story.

So do you remember the question posed a few posts ago?

Will I convince Kim to stay 2 extra days? Do I got game?

Well, I can answer that question now......

I got no game

In truth, she wrote me an email saying that should probably couldn't afford to stay the extra days. Plus it would've meant taking extra days off from work. So I called her w/ this proposition (no, not that kind. get your mind out of the gutter) :

Me: Hey Kim. Since I am already paying for the room for the first 3 nights, why don't you just come early anyway. You wouldn't have to pay for the room, just the extra days on your tix and food.

Kim: Really?

Me: Sure, I mean it would be great for us to have the extra time in the parks before everyone comes down.

Kim: Well, I am not sure I can come out on Friday, but Saturday sounds good. That's so nice of you

The conversation was much different than that and much longer, but you get the general drift.

So, ladies Chivalry is not dead. So Kim and I will have all day Sunday to hang out before Wendy and the gang come. I think we'll do Epcot since it's close to the BCV, where we'll be staying.

Flight Update

I am glad I bought my tix when I did. The same flight that I am flying is now 434.00--over 200 more than my original price and over 300 more than what I ended up paying after my credit........That 126.65 is looking good now.

I keep checking prices. Josh and Joanne have not purchased their tickets yet. I'm hoping there will be a drop, but who knows w/ the price of fuel being so high right now.....

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days, but I've been working on weekends now and it's hard to sit down for extended time. Sundays are crazy now. I am at church pretty much all day. So I can only watch the Sunday night NFL game

However, now I take Mondays off and it's nice having a day to rejuvenate after a long weekend.

So now most of us have made/paid for our plane reservations.

Depart LAX: Wednesday, January 30th 10:00pm

2 nights @ ???????(Can you believe I am still trying to stay those last 2 nights @ Pop?)

Anyways.......the reason for my title....well since most plane reservations have been made , I can start updating our itinerary. However, as of 1:01pm PST, we are all coming in on different days. So now I am in full scheduling mode trying to adjust itineraries to make sure we avoid too much overlap in what we do.....it's driving me bonkers......

CH...CH...CHANGES:

So now Kim and I will do Future World and a bit of World Showcase on Sunday. What this does is free up our Thursday, February 7th. Everyone is scheduled to have the morning/early afternoon free and then go to Future World before our ADR at Coral Reef. Now Kim and I can just take the whole day and do what single people do. What that means I have no idea......yet. We just have to meet up with everyone at 7:30 @ Coral Reef...I may also try to have Kim and I hit MK Evening Magic Hours on Sunday, Feb 3rd...we'll see.

Will we see more changes when Josh and Joanne book their flights?

Here are a few pics: The first one is from our trip in Feb 05 on the way to the MK. The Grand Floridian is in the background. One of the most beautiful resorts on property, but just too highbrow for my tastes.

This one is of most of our Cast.From left: me, Wendy, Derek, Josh and Joanne--all going in February 2008. It's from a weekend trip that we took in Feb 06. No kids, just adults. Although, Joanne probably was pregnant w/ Baby Jordan at the time. We are standing in front of the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. We didn't stay there. Just went down to walk around.

Notice the two resorts look very similar. The Hotel Del was one of the inspirations for the Grand Floridian. It's a grand old hotel and beautiful to walk around. I've stayed there before and it's awesome. They have a great bar downstairs..... Oh and by the way, check the weather out in Southern California during February...I'm wearing shorts.

More updates.

No rest for the weary. I have been pretty busy today running errands, updating our itineraries (not even close to being finished), and...........yes...................

I put down a significant deposit down and reserved my first 3 nights at POP!!!!!!! I'll probably pay this off at the end of this month. The 2 nights @ POP at the end of the trip will cost me 184.00. Not too bad...Will I do it? Will I stay onsite those last 2 nights? Are you taking bets?
