Can a 24' pool be installed in one day?

Just wondering. The pool guys have been here since 7:30 AM, and they're still not done. Will they actually be able to finish it today?

It's an above. So maybe they'll finish? Of course, they're predicting thunderstorms, so maybe that will affect them somehow?

LOL Honestly, I find the water bill in my area does not begin to compare with the cost of having the fire company deliver the water. I heard that the fire company pulls the water out of the river too in my area and that would add even more in chemical costs.

enjoy your pool. This will be the first year in 12 that we don't have ours. It was time. Lack of use and the need for a new lining decided us to take it down. So far I don't miss the work getting it ready.

My kids are older now but it was so nice when they were young. Time for a hot tub!

We have a 24' above ground pool, it took a week to put it up. I did all the leveling and setup by myself. DD 11 at the time helped put the wall up, which ended up being the hardest part.

I had a 24' pool at my old house, it took them a few hours to put it together, which included using the bobcat to dig out and level the area. It took longer to get the water in than to get the pool up.

I think the OP had it professionally installed. I did too! I wish I could remember how many thousands I paid for that. I wasn't real happy that they completed it in one day! LOL Well, in a way I was, but when I think of all that money!! If I had to do it again, we would definitely put it up ourselves. We did level the ground to save some $$$, and the guys told us we did a really good job of that. We rented a piece of equipment to get it level (can't member the name). Looked to me like that was harder than actually installing the pool.

We had ours installed...the guys worked so fast they were done in 5 hours! I love our pool, we added a heater a few years ago so we get lots of use out of it.

They finished - just before the storm started. Good timing.

Now we just have to wait for it to fill. Looks like it might take a lonnnnng time.

Last summer, we got a 21' round above ground pool. They came one day to level the ground. That took a few hours. They came the next day and set the whole pool up in a matter of a couple of hours. I love it and so do the kids! We need a solar cover or some type of heater though, because the water never seems warm enough to me. Nothing seems to bother the kids though!

I would love to hear how long it took to fill your pools. I've got 2 hoses going and it's barely making a dent.

I want to say it takes about a full day. Ours is an 18. it seems like it takes forever to get half way filled then the rest goes super fast. I know that's impossible, it just seems that way!

Typically a 24 foot pool takes 2 days to install unless you have specialized equipment. What kind of equipment you ask? How about Cotton Candy. Yes, that delightful treat you ate at the fair will do wonders to get that work crew motivated to finish your pool. It will probably take you about a full day and a half to fill that pool. It's really going to depend on how much water pressure you have. I know I shouldn't, but we pretty much completely drain ours every year (hubby brings home some type of pump from work). We do NOT drain it till we're ready to set it right back up. I think you'd have major liner damage if you left your pool sit empty over winter. That just lets me really scrub it and we start with fresh water each year. We swim in it while it's filling though, well we wade in it anyway. You will need to get your water tested though. If I were you, I'd grab some of your tap water and run it to have it tested sometime tomorrow. That way you'll have all those initial chemicals at your house already to start putting them in right away.
