Thanks They really loved it (although their mom thinks it´s still a bit too early for snow, lol). I´m glad they were able to go out and have fun since it´s supposed to rain tomorrow.

In the North it usually starts snowing in October, but we´re getting less and less snow here in Reykjavik (damn global warming), and it hardly ever arrived before late October/November. We only have a few days/weeks of snow each year now, although there usually is some in the mountains.
Temps in Dec-Feb. are:
Average low: 28 F
Average high: 36 F

Summer months:
Average low:48 F
Average high: 58 F

Thank you! We´ve never tried a homeexchange before but we´re really excited about the thought of it.

That´s what most people think. However, our summers have been getting considerably warmer and we get quite a few nice summer days now, where we can actually enjoy laying by the jaccuzzi in the garden.

We grow potatoes, various root vegetables and cabbage outdoors. However, we grow a number of things in greenhouses (and have quite a few of them, since power is so cheap in Iceland), such as peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and mushrooms. We don´t have any domestic grown fruit though (unless you count the few strawberries and grapes grown in some private greenhouses).
