Hi all!
We are contemplating renting an RV and going down to wdw next year for spring break. We'd be coming down from MN with another family and the total number of us would be 9, 4 adults and 5 kids.
Tell me about places to camp that will allow the rv. Both on site and nearby. What kinds of costs should I expect? What are the benefits/drawbacks? Anyplace offer a military discount? Should I expect to use a tent as well?
Thanks!

I looked into renting an Rv and it was cheaper fly there and to get 2 rooms and staying at a deluxe. We were thinking about doing the same thing, 2 families, 1 RV. The first problem is that almost no RV's will sleep 9 comfortably. usually you can sleep 2 in the bed, 2 on table/bed and maybe 2 kids on the couch. but unless you can find a Rv with triple bunks then you will have 3 kids on the floor. The other thing is 1 bathroom for 9 people! yuck. your best bet is to either drive down in 2 cars and stay at a home away from home or fly and get 2 rooms......

Or another option is to get to FW and look into renting an RV from Orlando. With web searches you should be able to find some local companies.

What if you pitched a tent for the kids?

You would still be saving a lot of money if you did all your meals in the RV.

Good Luck!

Our family really enjoy KOA campgrounds. I tend to agree with the others, 9 people in one of the rental RVs is a heartache waiting to happen. FW offers cabins to rent with bedrooms, that would be a great option too. Good luck!!
