Camping Near Universal?

We already have ressies at FW for a week, and are looking forward to the trip. We now want to add a few days at Universal and wanted to know if anyone knew of any other campgrounds closer to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. Please include approx. distance to those parks and your rating if you stayed at the campground. Thanks so much.

I have never stayed here but it looks like its close to Universal, Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake #404-299-5581. I have heard you won't be disappointed. I'm just not sure how close it is, you may want to call and see.

We stayed at Turkey Lake in March. It's really nice and shady. It has clean comfort stations with washer dryer and dump station on property.

It's about 5-10 minutes from Universal. Depends on traffic. I rate it about 7.5 out of 10. It was fifteen bucks so even if it wasn't that great it's still pretty good lol because it's so close to everything.

The person I spoke with told me US/IOA is 5 miles or less from this park. Looking forward to it.

We stayed at FW in April and whenever we went to Universal for the day , I remembered stacktester talking about this campground so we looked for it, they were very nice there and it is very close to Universal...it's not FW but we would stay at Turkey Lake in a heart beat, I think you won't be disappointed if you stayed there.

Thanks for this info, we're going to be adding a couple Universal days to the beginning of our Dec 11-17 trip this year.... and had looked at this campground. Appreciate the recommendation!
