Camp Care Packages? Need Ideas?

My daughter is going with her school to a camp for almost a week this Spring. She's never been away from home and it is tradition that the parents send a "care package" to be delivered while she is there.

I'm new to this, any clever ideas? They said no food (attracts critters) and no electronics (wanting the kids to experience getting away from it all for a few days).

I thought of hair squishes, a bandana, maybe socks or a flashlight?

Anyone got any clever ideas they maybe have done or seen done? I'm guessing it's packed in a shoe box or something?

What about a small book, autograph book, stickers to share, disposable camera, playing cards (are they allowed?), a signed note from everyone at home, some glow-in-the-dark bracelets, necklaces or whatever (cheap at Dollar Tree)? I think anything to share with her room or cabin-mates would be nice. These are just a few things that come to mind. It's been awhile since mine have gone to camp, and I'm a little foggy this morning!

A small spiral notebook(one with puppies on it!) and a purple gel pen. A hand-held battery-operated fan. chapstick. A beanie baby or neopet.glow in the dark necklaces, enough for the whole tent! Or my DDs favorite--a sleep mask

Great ideas so far. How about a book? Does she have a favorite series or author? Will she even have time to read?

You'll want to send the flashlight with her when she leaves. She'll likely need it the first night. But, how about a book light? Or if she takes one with her, more batteries for it?

This is a tough one, because DD isn't supposed to get care packages at the camp she attends. We try to send everything with her ahead of time. Besides - I'd have to send the box before she left!

I like the glow necklaces or glow sticks idea, though. Try checking at Oriental Trading Company's Web site - they have a variety of glow things & it's cheaper if you want to send for everyone in the tent/cabin.
