Hi everyone! Very soon we'll be headed to Disney with our 4 yo DD and our 19 mo. DS, so our hands will be full. My question is... if you had to choose one, would you choose to bring a camera or camcorder into the parks? Thanks for sharing your opinions!

I have been thinking the same question also, but I think we are going to stick with the camera. We have a really small camera that won't take up much room so it will be more convienent for us. Although our camcorder is really small also, I think that we won't have as much fun if we have to keep filming most of the time.

Well seeing as how we don't own a camcorder it's camera for us. Digital that is.

If I had to choose I would take my video camera. Capturing "live" moments in the parks is precious. You can also take stills off the video tape if you have the right computer equipment.

I dont think I could do just 1, at least not while my kids are young. We actually bring a digital camera, regular camera and a video.
;)

we also have a camcorder that doubles as a digital camera - takes great pictures and was really worth the price. (we take our laptop with us so that we can download the pictures each night)

I would suggest maybe taking your camecorder (video IS priceless) and maybe a couple of disposable cameras (w/ flash). They aren't as bulky as a regular camera - and you dont' have to futz with changing film - just grab a second camera or so.

If I had to choose one, I'd pick our digital camera. Our camera can take short video clips.
