That's exactly what happened! Sorry if I didn't explain it well . . . I was kinda just rambling in my thread because I was freaking out!

Well, I called the PhotoPass number yesterday and left a message and they called me back today . . . but I missed the call!!! I'm so mad! The person who returned my phone call left a phone number on my voicemail, but the last 4 digits got cut off!!! Well, I called back again and left another voicemail so hopefully they'll get back to me soon. I keep checking the PhotoPass website, but I'm still not able to access my card.

I'm glad to hear that other people have been able to "move" their card numbers from one account to another. That makes me feel a little better.

Oh, and my friend at work loves Disney . . . she's kinda like my "travel agent" because she travels so much (many times to Disneyland and Disneyworld), so she likes looking at my pics to see where we went that day, etc. :)

Anyway, thanks so much for responding . . . I REALLY appreciate it! I'll let you know what happens with my pics and GOOD LUCK to you too! :goodvibes

Hey, excellent news for me. They replied to my email yesterday, which I think was only 2, maybe 3? days after I wrote. First the wording freaked me out, b/c they said something like "once a card has been claimed it can't be claimed on another account", but then they said "but we can add it to a SECOND account for you".

So I re-stated the card number and the email on my account, and she added the card number to my account, easy-peasy.

(She also added Stitch coming out of the ground to the two pictures where that was supposed to happen, and I'm pleased as punch that she could do that!)

So maybe the phone isn't the best way to do it. I just used the Contact Us form, using the heading "Claiming my pictures" or whatever is similiar to that in their choices, and it worked well. Put the email address of your account, and the photopass card number, and let them know what happened, and that you want them to add it to a second account, namely, YOURS!

I noticed while toodling around on their site last night that they have the option to "share" your photos. You put the card number on your account, then you can email that info to others, and in THAT way, they can look at your pictures, but without the worry of the person putting it on their own account. Something to plan on in the future. :)

Oh, and if you email them and get a reply from Deborah P, that's who helped me, and even though it took a few emails back and forth (all of which were replied to within an hour of sending it...she really took ownership of my problem), she got it worked out perfectly!

That's really good news. I sent my email on Friday, so hopefully they get back to me soon. I need exactly what they did for you . . . including adding Stitch (and Tinkerbell) to some of my pictures. The person who called me back was Deborah, but I'm not sure if it's the same one who helped you. Anyway, thanks for keeping me posted with what's happening with your photopass pics. I'll write back when mine is resolved!

Are there and discounts for purchasing the Photopass CD? We are DVC and AP holders. Can we use the merry40 discount we were told about the night of MVMCP? Or is that only for prints?
Thanks for any help!
Lori

I know nothing about the discount you mention.

However, have you seen this site? http://www.stitchkingdom.com/photopass/

And the site where I pre-ordered my photopass CD is http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx . Got it for 99.95, which includes shipping. The normal price for that version of the CD (you can edit your pictures, crop them, add signatures when characters are there, put borders and things like that) is 124.95.

You can also get a basic, no-edit, CD at the park for something like 59.95, so if all you want is the pure pictures, that's the best deal, but the borders etc are great fun, IMO.

merry40 discount is only for 5x7 inch prints. Only discount I know of for CDs is the pre-purchase plan. We did it for a trip in November and thought it was great.

Well, looks like I missed out for the December trip, but I will pre-order for October for sure! Thank you.

BTW...thank you for the link to stitchkingdom photopass...lot's of good information!

Have you already gotten back? Have you already ordered?

It's been theorized that there doesn't seem to be much stopping a person from "pre"ordering during their stay or even after their stay, but before claiming cards onto their account...

Haven't heard of anyone trying it yet, though.

400 Pics! How long were you there?

Mikeeee

Bumbershoot: So sorry! . . . I forgot to give you my scoops!!! YES! They got back to me on Christmas eve or day (can't remember which one). They added the pics to my account and they put in Stitch and Tinkerbell. The person who helped me was Christopher. I was up til 1:30 this morning editing pics! The site takes FOREVER! Anyway, I'm so happy :) Thanks for replying to my thread . . . I was so relieved to hear from you!

JR6ooo4: Yah, I know! 400 pics is a lot, but we were there for almost 2 weeks (12/8-12/19) and we had 12 of us in our group. Oh, and I wanted to take as many pictures as possible because it was my daughters first time and I think it'll be our last trip for a L-O-N-G time! :(

2 weeks! 12 people! yowza.

I'm so glad it got worked out, and that you got Tink and Stitch put in their proper places! I meant to get the Tinkerbell picture but b/c of one thing and another, starting with the castle being blocked on the first morning DH was there because they were filming something, we just never got there when we could stop. I'm really annoyed at myself, but I couldn't convince the hubby to fly back down JUST for that picture! Something about "time off of work, expense of three plane tickets last minute, and hotel room last-minute"...I dunno, sounded like the adults in Charlie Brown to me...

ha ha, I kid.

I found myself looking at each picture, and just putting each and every border on it, thereby creating umpteen edited pictures for each one picture. I don't know if WDW has a Jack Sparrow meet and greet, or if the photopass people put a border around it (in the camera, not something you have control over), but Disneyland does, and I found myself putting the Photopass borders *on top of* the "I met jack sparrow" border. I'm nuts! I just kept thinking...I might want this someday, so I might as well do it while I can. Can't wait to get my CD, but delivery isn't scheduled until the 7th! How can I wait???

Again, I'm glad you got yours done. :)

Can anyone help me with what they might use as a holster bag for a Canon 40D with a 70-200 f2.8 L attached? I'm currently looking at the Lowepro 75AW. Any thoughts? Thanks and Hapy New Years!party:

Where do I go for pictures to be taken for a photo pass? Last year I really did not know what the photo pass was, and did not get many pictures taken.

We did get some from the water park, which was great, the kids were in motion going down a water slide. We also got some at the DVC member party. I saw the photos taken at the castle but had no idea it was for photo pass.

Is there a brochere of where you can get photos taken? Do the photos taken when you are on rides like Splash mountain go on a photo card?

Please list places you have got photos for photapass taken

thanks Tigger

They are EVERYWHERE! Walking up Main St USA, you will pass by at least 4 of them. The only ride that lets you use the pass so far is Test track I believe. They are usually with each character and are also the photographers that take your pictures before meals sometime. They are placed throughout the parks in places where it would ahve a good background like in front of the tree of life and in front of ToT. Also many near the castle. Maybe someone has a list somewhere.

Anywhere there's a character, there's a Photopass photographer nearby... and countless other places, too, like pyrxtc said. Every official WDW/DL photographer is a Photopass photographer - they'll either give you a new card or use your existing one if you hand it to them.

I think Disney's plan is that eventually you'll be able to get all your ride photos on Photopass too, but again like pyrxtc said, Test Track is the only one that I've seen (unless others were added later this year.) Here's what it looks like:

I think that if you can't find a Photopass photographer, you must be at Universal. They are everywhere. Just look for anyone in a strange outfit with a camera and other photo gear. Of course, that may be Mark Barbieri, so make sure they have a WDW name tag! :lmao:

Thanks everyone so much. I have printed the PDF. Where did you find the PDF orchjoe? I looked on Disney sight and found very little.

Thanks Tigger
