was having a look around the new photopass site
and liked the look of the photo book
but cannot get it to download my own photos , followed everything it says but it will not let me finish the downloading
stops at the last second or 2
was anyone else able to do this

hope I have put this question on the right board , if not place tell me where to go

I like it- it's very light weight and great for lunking around, disney, hiking, etc. It's not the most stable thing in the world though- I would eventually like to get something more substantial too.

I will also use 1 of 3 different Tripods, I keep 1 in the car and 1 in the house, the 3rd is a travel tripod that gets taken out when need for trips. Also have a pocket tripod that I'll probably upgrade before next years trip.

I have 2 U/V filters, but have decided not to use them.

Current bag is a LowPro Offtrail (fanny pack type) but it doesn't hold all my stuff. I'm am getting a new bag for x-mas, the Tarmac Adventure 9. This will definately hold all my stuff and have a bit of extra room for future lenses and upgrades.

I try to travel light, so I carry the dSLR & walkaround lens, while the bag holds a 70-200 f/4, polarizer, CF cards, batteries, monopod, and a tiny first aid kit. And an emergency plastic bag/poncho in case of rain!

I shop at REI a lot and they ask me where I am going that I need all this fancy hiking & backpacking gear. I tell them "the world's most brutal environment imaginable - heat, cold, rain, hostile natives, endless miles of walking... Walt Disney World!"

a child sized santa hat (used it to take pictures of my students - haven't taken it out yet)
tripod- but it isn't actually IN the camera bag - the bag is much to small and the salesmen at Wolf camera told me not to carry the tripod with the camera -- too much of a chance for damage

notebook/pen ( very cool hand made paper journal and sepia colored ink..gotta do it right) and manual

lens hoods
3 batteries( i was a brownie back in the day so always prepared ) and charger
computer/tv cords that came with the camera
lens caps for the body, lens i have on and a couple spares i got from somewhere or other
and things i never use but keep in there anyway till i get more lenses to fill the pockets

tried to connect my tripod to the bottom and it worked but was the straw....

And being the former insurance agent that I am ...... you should do that anyway....but with your cheapest camera while having your expensive camera in the photo as proof of ownership.

Is it possible for my pictures using a Pentax *istDL are better than the pictures from my Photopass CD? When I print one of each, my pictures look good (in terms of picture quality, not artistic quality), yet the "professional" photopass appear faded, and lots of noise, and this is only on a 4x6. No way I could get an 8x10 from the Photopass ones...

seems like I wasted $100...

Anything is possible. I know when we were there in July, they were using the Nikon D70 (I think) which is a great camera. But as we all know, a camera is only as good as the person operating it. Also the settings have a lot to do with the quality as well. So in theory, they should be as good or better than our own, but they can be worse. I bought the CD in July but haven't printed any. Now I will have to go and do that. Hopefullt they weren't using the lower jpeg setings.
